The society meets every week on Tuesdays from 8 to 10pm. See the side bar on the right for more details
The typical event is organised as follows:
7:45-8:00 review of the rules : if you want to ask questions or are new this is for you!
8:00-8:15 short debating exercise – rebuttal/argument building
8:15-8:20 choice of the motion and random picking of the teams
8:20-8:35 15 minute preparation – in teams of 2
8:40-9:25 debate – 8 speakers talk one after another for 5 minutes each
9:25-10:00 feedback – advice on how to improve
